The International Economics and Finance Institute (IEFI) is the think tank affiliated to the Ministry of Finance of China.
Founded in 2007, IEFI carries out economic research on a wide range of issues and topics both domestic and international, including the world economy analysis, country studies, globalization, and international development cooperation. IEFI provides strategic and overarching policy recommendations to the top decision-makers of the Ministry of Finance and other governmental bodies of China.
IEFI maintains a strong partnership with other major think tanks and the academia both at home and abroad. Extensive and in-depth exchanges and co-operations are conducted.
IEFI works closely with global and regional multilateral financial institutions, including the WBG, the IMF, the OECD, the ADB, the AIIB, the NDB and etc.
IEFI also reaches out to the governmental agencies of other countries, and establishes close exchange and cooperation in one way or another.
Besides its research papers, IEFI has several annual publications.
Backed by its strong team and connections, IEFI has now become a renowned think tank both in China and the rest of the world.
